Said to be still about 3000 feet undersea, the Loihi Seamount represents what is likely to be our 8th Hawaiian Island, joining its closest neighbor, Hawaii, as well as Molokai, Maui, Lanai, Kahoolawe, Oahu, Kauai and  Niihau. I've never seen any videos of Lo'ihi steam erupting out of the ocean.
