Aloha.  Do you know what this is?  Hint: It is an ancient animal from the days of the dinosaurs. It's an armadillo. We have a Golden Armadillo "pet" that was given to us by friends in Oklahoma for good luck.

Oklahoma is located in the middle of the USA, next to Texas. Oklahoma has many armadillos. Of course, I've never actually seen a live one in Oklahoma, but that's what Oklahomans tell me (I have, however, seen deer, hummingbirds, squirrels and cardinals when visiting there). But back to Armadillos: Armadillos are rather slow when crossing the road, and often are run over at night when surprised by car headlights. Oklahomans call this "road kill." Road kill? Ick!

So, do you like our Golden Armadillo? His name is Frank, because he is frankly weird looking, don't you think?

You can stroke Frank's long nose for good luck -- just run your finger down its nose on your computer screen and make a Golden Wish. It will surely come true. This is a a very old custom that I just made up :-)

Happy Golden Armadillo Day to YOU!

Sincerely,
Dan
