GOOD DANCING!

My husband and I went to the gym to practice dance. Today is our second time.
During driving to the gym, we talked not having practiced for over a year. Then we talked about dancing today without arguing and not being too strict.
When we started dancing, he mentioned that he was having trouble leading. He said "You are too fast! Please follow my lead!"
Then he explained why he was having trouble. He said it was because my right elbow kept moving back behind my shoulder. I didn't feel that I was doing this. But then I tried keeping my elbow forward of my shoulder during dancing, and our frame was good and more importantly I could open my top more like flower. I still have a habit to move to my elbow back even when i pay attention to my body. So frustrating! Any way we finish practice peacefully and happy we've improved.
Tonight, I opened my anatomy book to find how to organize human muscles of the shoulder. I read that the muscles of scapula stabilize the frame. I found not one but SIX muscles involved! OMG! I couldn't believe it! And I was even more surprised to learn that when moving the scapula, even more different muscles are involved. Now I wondered, who discovered what these muscles do? How did someone prove their physical movement? I just wanted to learn about my shoulder muscles to better understand my frame. Now I am even more impressed by the human body! Maybe dancing is just as much about anatomy as steps and figures!!
Now I want to ask my husband, a doctor, how to develop these muscles? I think many things. Maybe I can't sleep well tonight. Then again, I have learned so much today, so maybe I will actually sleep well.
