I WORRY ABOUT MY CUCUMBERS!
February 8, 2021
When I read Raymond Gaynor's blog post entitled "THE TRIAL OF A CENTURY, AND I’M WORRIED ABOUT MY CUCUMBERS" (https://raymondgaynor.wordpress.com/2021/02/06/the-trial-of-a-century-and-im-worried-about-my-cucumbers/), he expressed worry about his cucumbers he's growing more than what's about to happen this week with ex-President Donald "Duck" Trump. I too am worried about my cucumbers, more than the Super Bowl today.
Three of my sweet, little cucumbers are dying (two are doing fine) after the Polar Vortex this week's effect in Hawaii. I gave them special nutrient and lots of water (they especially liked the water), but the cold wind almost shredded them. I asked them why they aren't doing well (except the two that are fine) and got no answer. It's obvious that cuc's live a retiring life. Maybe I should have watched the Super Bowl and told them about it. Then again, they're wild Japanese (like me) cuc's and wouldn't have been any more interested in American football than me.
Oh, my! What to do? What to do? I would like to tell the two doing well to "go for it" and get bigger quick. I would like to invite them to dinner! Ha, ha! Kind of like the Walrus, the Carpenter and the oysters! Do you know this poem by Lewis Carroll, the author of ALICE IN WONDERLAND? Check it out here: https://poets.org/poem/walrus-and-carpenter
